Arturo J. Jesurun in Memoriam

One of the veterans of IPRA – Arturo J. Jesurun, Curacao, Netherlands Antilles, passed away in January at the age of 84

He joined the association in 1962 and was one the members who met in Athens in 1965, when the first copy of our code of ethics –the Code of Athens – was presented to the Greek Minister of Culture.

UNESCO wins the International Public Relations Association President’s Award in 2009

The International Public Relations Association (IPRA) has announced UNESCO as the winner of its highest honour for last year. IPRA thus recognizes the outstanding work of UNESCO to insure better educational and cultural prospects to people and thus to help bridge divides created by the different levels of access to education in different world regions.

IPRA chooses 2009 Golden World Award winners for excellence in public relations

The International Public Relations Association (IPRA) has chosen the winners of its 2009 Golden World Awards for Excellence in PR. The winners ranged from a campaign designed to increase Australian tourism in New Caledonia to the launch of the Slavinsky Art Gallery in Russia.
