Bus On Demand launched in early 2020 by Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Dubai involves deploying on-demand minibuses via a smart app in selected districts in Dubai. It contributes to easing the first and last-mile challenge which is one of the innovative solutions for transport services and providing supportive infrastructure that facilitates mobility across Dubai. This successful initiative provides service to areas of low-demand public transport, reduces operational costs, integrates with public transport means, and reduces riders waiting time with over 1 million riders using the service in December 2022, thus marking a significant milestone of its popularity and success
