Founded in Vienna in 2017, the Innovation in Politics Institute is an Europe-wide service organisation for the further development of political work. The Institute identifies the most successful political projects in Europe and processes this know-how across countries and political parties. Furthermore, the Institute has launched the Europe-wide "Innovation in Politics Awards", which are presented annually for exemplary political projects. Within two years this private initiative managed to create an Europe-wide organisation headquartered in Vienna, with 14 country offices and co-operations with distinguished, non-partisan think-tanks, which support the work of the Institute and promote it on a regional level.
