On Sunday, November 18, 2018, one-sided news filtered that Boko Haram terrorists attacked Metele Village alleging that over 100 Nigerian soldiers killed. Realising the believability of Third-Party Endorsement on delicate security matters, the Nigerian Airforce (NAF) encouraged PRNigeria, a credible news agency to counter the negative narrative on the attack with a fairer report. The counter-narrative, from the third-party, as a response was overwhelming which influenced official response from the Nigerian Army, Government and other independent credible sources with convincing details that boost the morale of the troops, enhanced confidence of citizens and weaken the fighting spirit of the terrorists.
