On August 25, 2017, severe damage of Telkom – 1 satellite has caused more than 8,000 ATM of several major national banks and national television broadcast going offline, making hundred thousand of people lost access to banking and television. This crisis has brought multi-dimension impact towards Telkom’s reputation, including business and political impact. In addition to that, a special and holistic crisis communication program is conducted not only to regain public trust, but also to secure political support from government and house of representative (DPR). The whole crisis communication program took 8 months to be completed.
