Vital Voices receives IPRA President’s Award 2024

The 2024 IPRA President’s Award has been given to Vital Voices. Vital Voices Global Partnership invests in women leaders.
Upon receiving the award, Vital Voices founder Alyse Nelson (pictured) said: “We're absolutely thrilled to receive the IPRA President's Award. At Vital Voices, we search the world for women who have a daring vision. When you invest in women, they turn around and invest in their families, their communities and their countries. Commenting on the award, Nataša Pavlović Bujas IPRA President 2024 says: “In a time of growing mistrust I am honoured that the IPRA Board has recognised the efforts and achievements of Vital Voices. Its global influence is realised both through supporting women leaders worldwide and through clear, timely public expressions of opinion, free from hesitation or self-censorship. Communication is the most important tool for fostering better societies and a more humane global community”.
The IPRA President’s Award was founded in 1977 and is presented annually to an organization or individual to recognize an “outstanding contribution to better world understanding”. Previous recipients of the award include the SelfHealers Circle, 30% Club, Zeit Online, The International Red Cross, The Nobel Foundation, UNESCO, Amnesty International, WWF, The Economist and The National Geographic Society.
