IPRA and the Irish Academy of Public Relations sign co-operation agreement

(Comments)

IPRA, the International Public Relations Association, has signed a co-operation agreement with the Irish Academy of Public Relations. Under the Agreement, inter alia, the two organisations will exchange materials and know-how to help with the development of the PR profession such as IPRA’s Thought Leadership essays.

"Public Relations is a global business. Our PR education reaches students in 50 countries around the world in six languages - English, French, Spanish, Russian, Polish and Arabic. I am a past-president of IPRA’s members in Ireland and a keen supporter of multi-cultural and pan-national initiatives within our industry. This agreement will create enhanced learning for our students and offer our graduates greater professional global networking opportunities," said Ellen Gunning, director of the Irish Academy of Public Relations.

This is the fourth of a new set of co-operation agreements with national PR organisations around the world,” explains IPRA President Bart de Vries. “Under these we hope to provide help where it is needed and also to expand IPRA’s Golden World Awards programme to new areas of PR practice.”
