Eeva-Liisa Vallin made an IPRA Member Emeritus

The IPRA Board has voted to bestow the honour of Member Emeritus upon Eeva-Liisa Vallin. Eeva-Liisa has been a member of IPRA since 1991 and has unfailingly been a judge for the Golden World Awards almost every year since.
Barbara Burns In Memoriam

IPRA pays its respects to Barbara Burns who has died at the age of 90. Barbara joined IPRA in 1976. Born in New Jersey she moved to New York and worked in advertising and public relations for a number of firms in the US, in Brazil and in France. She was Senior VP at RuderFinn before establishing her own firm Barbara Burns International. She was an IPRA Council member for many years and chaired a number of committees.

The Grand Prix 2024 of the IPRA Golden World Awards for Excellence (GWA), the world’s most prestigious PR awards scheme, went to Pots That Develop countering rural food poverty. The campaign from Peru’s Alicorp was given a PR boost by agency LLYC featuring it within the local SUMMUM national gastronomy awards.
AI: a key part of Pact for the Future at UN Summit

IPRA representatives James McQueeny and Matthew Cossel attended the UN Summit of the Future, a global convening of intergovernmental organizations to create an action-oriented Pact for the Future. The Pact was ratified by the UN Member States on 22 September 2024 and is linked here together with its UN Resolution here. The Pact is the culmination of a lengthy process to adapt international cooperation to the realities of today and the challenges of tomorrow.
